Crafting for Community: Paperclip Paper bead Necklaces

It’s once again time for our annual Crafting for Community interactive workshop. March is National Craft Month and Women’s Heritage Month, let’s celebrate both by doing a craft the benefits women in our community. This March we will get together to learn how to make Paperclip Paper Bead Necklaces using inexpensive office supplies, recycled paper items, and basic jewelry findings.

Creating jewelry is a fun way to establish a second stream of income and/or make inexpensive gifts for yourself and others. In this gathering we’ll teach you how to make Paperclip Paper Bead Necklaces and we’ll help the local community by donating our creations to Deborah’s Place which serves women experiencing homelessness. You may attend one or both sessions. Please whatever refreshments you want to enjoy. No alcoholic beverages allowed.

Who can attend:
This event is open to everyone! Free for UIC students and staff. $3 for Chicago community members
